The think I love most about this post is it shows how well you and Tim work as a team. As crazy as your lives might be, you really seem like you're in it together.

We have also decided that scheduling is the only way to go and that dinner in front of the TV was no longer an option. Admittedly, this wasn't such a loss b/c the only thing Reese would allow us to watch was Max & Ruby - kill me now. I don't have any idea how my mother managed to get dinner on the table, on time, every night, for a family of 6 & it included ALL the basic food groups. Tonight we had spaghetti and bread... no veggies, lotsa starch but it's a start. Good luck!

This is admittedly pretty crazy, but what my husband and I started doing early on was serving the kids dinner at about 5 or 5:30 pm, then having our own dinner after the kids were in bed. Bedtime for our boys has always been 6:30/7:00 pm, which leaves the rest of the evening for my husband and me to eat dinner, watch TV, and unwind. We had to face the fact that doing things together (like eating dinner together around the table) ala "normal" families is just going to have to wait until the kids are a little older. If we can just concentrate on feeing the kids (waiting until later for our own meals), we have an easier time handling things, and we don't get as much indigestion.
