I have a follow-up post to this one that I've been working on a bit at a time for a while. Since I just start bawling about every time I sit down to write it, it's taken me a while. It's about a recent dream I had, the first time I really dreamed about us in the distant future, and I'm still carrying it around with me. Sorry for the teaser comment... I hope to post it soon. We're in sync with you guys...Hallie was just diagnosed with High Functioning Autism last week and we've not yet had a chance to/been able to blog about it. Sort of a blow we've been knowing was coming. Anyhoo, Hallie has more speech than J-Man and has expressed wanting objects, sometimes with the 'want' part included, sometimes not, for some time now. And she's called for us, looking for us, asking "Mama? Where'd she go?" a lot. But she's never said she wanted either of us, until last night. She had a bad dream, woke from it, and said to me, when I went to put her back in bed and cuddle her, "I want Mommy!" Very clearly, very emphatically. We were sorry she had a bad dream, but not at all sorry about hearing this (she had a great day yesterday generally, and this just added cream to the top). Go J-Man! Go Hallie! Our little kids are going to get there and it's beautiful and poignant when they do things like this! WOW!
