@JoyMama - We might have jumped the gun on the him being a sleeper thing, but we think last night he just felt bad. Regardless, last night was very rough. So, here's hoping tonight is way better.

@Pam - Yeah. Lots of bloggy things haven't made it up the triage list. Every time I sit down to try to catch up on the myriad piles of things we're behind on, somebody cries, has some urgent need, or has some bodily function event (or some combination of all of those). That or I fall asleep with my eyes open, which sadly I think happened during a diaper change the other night. Here's hoping I regain enough brain cells to rub together over the next couple of days to catch up a bit.

The J-Man is hanging in there. He's doing great at school and not having anything I'd call regressing or acting out or whatever. I wouldn't say he's warmed up to his new role, but he hasn't fought it either. If I had to call it something, I'd say it's still most parts ambivalent with a couple parts curiosity, probably with a decent number of parts "Oh, you must be kidding."

One more adjustment to your lives ... you need to change the page tag to reflect E's arrival (or whatever is at the top of the browser window that describes your family and lists E. Normous as "one on the way").

Congratulations, it sounds like you guys are adjusting really well. Fingers crossed that J-man continues to go with the new flow.

You sound so happy! Makes me happy for you.

My second baby was a sleeper where my first was not. It does indeed make a major difference. In a most excellent way.
