		<description>Asha - It certainly is tempting! I&#039;m conflicted on giving him a free pass on some things because it really is an achievement when you think about it like you said, but I also want to keep setting the bar of expectations high. If he&#039;s taught me anything, he&#039;s taught me not to underestimate what he can someday do. 

I made myself a rule early on that I wouldn&#039;t use autism as an excuse because I wanted him to never consider himself or be considered by others as inferior. But there is a rigid side to that, and rigid I&#039;m not. So, I&#039;m learning it&#039;s a much harder balance to achieve than I thought.

This isn&#039;t something we&#039;ve had to think much about as his deviousness is usually much cuter than yesterday&#039;s episode was. Maybe the key is to rejoice in these as achievements now and worry about addressing the more trying aspects of the behavior a bit later. Don&#039;t know. Would love people&#039;s insights on this.</description>
