They finally figured it out and got married a few months after we did. He is now a pastor in Kentucky, they have 4 kids under 9 years old, and will be married 13 years in September! Life has worked out far better than I imagined it would many years ago, and I had some pretty big dreams for the future then. It's taken far more twists and turns than I could have remotely predicted, but that makes it exciting, even if stressful on occasions. Even if it took me forever to figure it out, I finally married my soulmate (I do believe in those) and together we brought this wonderful little man into the world. The short version is that we dated at the end of high school and most of college, then we took a long, shall we say, interlude, before getting back together a few years later.
