StupidFilter vs. Michael Savage

I came across what may be the best web tool to come out in a long time.

A handful of Internet saints invented StupidFilter, open-source filter software that you’ll be able to use in blogs, community sites, or wherever to filter out stupidity in things like comments. I’m serious.

So as a test, I went to their demo and plugged in Michael Savage’s profane statement, “It’s a brat who hasn’t been told to cut the act out. That’s what autism is.”

StupidFilter’s analysis?

“Text is likely to be stupid.”

Well, I think that settles it.

Now go read my other post and contact his sponsors. Thanks!

Tim and Mary,

I was at the Bellevue art fair this weekend and came across a booth that had a large sign outside, indicating that all the artwork in that booth was created by an autistic child. I took a picture of the booth intending to show it to you, but in looking at the picture saw that there was a website for him as well, which has just about everything I saw at the booth.

Forgive me if you’ve already heard of these things I send you - feel free to smack me if I’m pointing out obvious things. On the plus side, I’m never going to ask you if you’ve heard what Jenny McCarthy has to say. ;-)

Those are awesome. I really liked seeing the different perspective. Sometimes I would look at a picture and not really get it… but then look at it out of the corner of my eyes, and suddenly I understood. Thanks D’Julie!
